One Million Facebook Fans

Details

• Yoplait partnered with DMI to create a social media activation surrounding the celebration of their one millionth Facebook fan
• DMI was first tasked with finding a song that embodied the spirit of the brand. DMI then re-wrote lyrics and re-recorded the song “You Make Me Happy” as an ode to Yoplait
• DMI then created a 60-second animated video to accompany the song
• When Yoplait achieved one million Facebook fans, the video was posted to their Facebook page as a fan thank you

Results

• The video has received hundreds of positive likes and comments on Facebook
• Yoplait is currently planning to extend the song and video into a user-generated content promotion/sweepstakes that can continue to engage and reward consumers
