Sour Punch
- DMI created an integrated campaign appealing to the 12-17 year old target consumer building community, awareness, traffic, and sales
- The immersive, interactive website includes various viral, branded activity:
- Arcade featuring original branded games
- Wallpapers
- User registration to activate a site-wide reward system (Punch Points) with ongoing sweepstakes and prizes
- DMI also developed the user-generated video contest “Punch Up A Scene” where users submitted videos recreating a scene from any television show or movie by incorporating the Sour Punch product
- To create distinction for the brand, DMI composed the Sour Punch Audio Logo which is threaded throughout the entire campaign
- Reinforced as a tag at the end of the TV spot
- Throughout the website
- Available as an mp3 download
- Within the first two weeks of the website launch, over 90% of the online traffic was from new visitors
- Users who visit the arcade spend an average of 4 minutes or more on the site
- Received several awards including a Web Award for Outstanding Website
- The “Punch Up A Scene” contest increased site visits by 370% and average time spent on site increased by 68% during the promotion
