To target and engage Extinguisher’s young audience, DMI created an inventive and exploratory website. In addition to the various navigation sections where users can access videos and product information, the homepage brings the product to life by allowing consumers to extinguish sour “freak-outs” and click orbiting pieces of candy to unlock factoids and trivia about the product and all things “sour.” The site also features the custom game “Sour Planet, Captain Extinguisher's Journey to the Sourest Taste in the Universe.” This immersive game offers 20 levels of intergalactic fun and awards high scoring players with free candy!
Sourextinguisher.com won four W3 Awards including two Golds in the Branding and Teen categories, and received Silvers in the Consumer Goods and Food and Beverage categories.
